You have without a doubt the most talented son/daughter ever.
Rather it would be in drawing, computer graphics, digital photography, writing, whatever the case might be, you should be proud of them, not condemn them. They will make a career out of their talents. They will go places with what they enjoy doing. They might (and will become) internet personalities and deviantART celebrities like Yours Truly.
It is said in the 6th chapter and 4th verse of Ephesians, that you will not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the training and teachings of Almighty God. Do not savagely chastise your children because you think what they create goes against God and transgresses His laws. They don't. It's just works of art. Like horror writers Stephen King and Anne Rice, they wrote terrifying pieces of work and their hearts are still with God, they are Christians. You can still be a horror artist and love God, regardless. Your job is to love your sons and daughters, be there for them, protect them, help them out, not berate and holler at them because of their preference of artistic creation. Your brought them into this world, let them enjoy it. Let them enjoy doing what they do. Because one day, they will surely be on the New York Time's best selling list, and doing work for Hollywood. So cheer them on, support them, give them encouragement. They are allowed to dream, they are allowed to create, they are allowed to share their works with the world. With artists on here, young and old, their talents are unsurpassed and second to none!
Regardless of what race, creed, color, religion, or nationality, artists are more than artists on here. They are a diverse group, they are a unit, they are people just like you and me, and we love them.
So, moms and dads, you are housing talent. Don't abuse them, discourage them, criticize harshly, or condemn them... but be proud of how good they do their work. Just because someone does violent/gory art doesn't mean it will make them into a psychotic killer, they just enjoy doing it. Even some who have lost family like myself, I still continue to do fantastic work. My dad has always encouraged me to create graphics like nobody's business and that is still going strong. These are more than just my fellow artists, deviants, pasta writers, and creators. They are my friends, my family, I love them. And you should, too. Critiquing is okay, chastising and violently berating is not. You gave birth to talent, and up and coming internet celebrities. You should be proud of them.
Thank you, and God bless.
